EXT. Big Indian Lake--DAY.The water glistens andf shines as the small motor boat glides through. A mMAN sits in the boat controlling the motor. The engine stops and the boat comes to a slow halt.
The day is quiet, sunny, clear. The MAN pulls his pole up and rigs a lure in to it.
Whoosh! The MAN casts the pole into a weed bed and starts to slowly reel the lure towards the boat. Crank, stop. Crank, stop. Crank, stop.
The water suddenly churns as a fish bites at the lure. The MAN yanks the peole up and hooks the fish. He reels vigorously and pulls the fish alongside the boat. He reachs down and lips the fish, pulling it into the boat. The MAN smiles and gives a cheer.

INT. Kitchen --DAY.
A green and wood motif decorates the room. Two windows sit in the middle of the room, light spills in and a small breeze rustles the curtains. A CAT sits on the table, soaking up the sunliht and gazing out the window. He stills his body and turns his head towards the inner room.
Suddenly he hops off the table and crouches on the floor. The CAT pounces. A small feather is clutched in his paws. He shakes his head with the feather in his mouth.
The CAT looks at the feather and turns away. His attention pulled back to the window with the sunlight. He plops his body into a chair where the sun is landing just right. He sleeps.

INT. Doctors Office--DAY.
The rooms is sterile and white. An exam table, a counter, a computer and two chairs sit in the room. In one chair sits a GIRL. She looks uncomfortable and shaky. Her gaze shifts left to the window and the beautiful day outside. Her gaze soon shifts to the right and then away. Her gaze settles on one of the many posters hanging on the walls. COPD is spelled out in big letters. The GIRL twists her hands together, gripping them so tight her fingers turn white. She sighs and loosens her fists. Her gaze is drawn to the window again.

I'd just finished reading pottle's week 4 when I read this and I was thinking three act narratives and week four, not week 3.
So, I read it and said, 'What the hell? Amanda's gone all arty on me!'
But I worked it out: it's a three act-er. We see this older, fatherly guy fishing. We see his daughter upset and blank, worried. We see a cat killing: aha, DEATH! Finally we see the girl again in the doc's office, looking at the COPD sign--oh no, her dad, the fisherman, has died--the cat scene was foreshadowing!
Sheesh, I loved it!
Then I realized your were working on week 3....
Well, week 3 is mixed. I can't see either the fisherman or the cat scenes done with a stationary camera: we're going to want closeups, different angles with those two--does that makes sense?
The other two work fine.
And I loved that week-four-that-wasn't.
